Progress Report — Q4/2023 (EN Version)

For eight months now, we’ve been journeying through the fascinating world of digital collectibles on the Cardano blockchain. Our inaugural NFT collection, titled VooDoo, features an engaging storyline set in the mystical context of voodoos.

Throughout the second half of 2023, our efforts were focused on the development of the collectibles; we launched the Amulets and Talismans edition dedicated to the OG community and are gearing up for the release of the Omniverse edition this November. We have also devoted ourselves to creating the utility tools Capsule and the POE (Proof of Engagement Protocol), both foundational to the project’s ecosystem structure.

During these months, we’ve adapted our roadmap to respond to market fluctuations — which are gradually showing signs of returning to satisfactory liquidity levels, and to the valuable suggestions from our community.

The likely recovery of the crypto market by the end of 2023 should reinvigorate the community as a whole and those who see the crypto economy as a place for sound investments. This resurgence will also allow us to reassess and adjust our collectibles’ strategies for 2024.

Active Participation of the OG Community

A significant milestone was reached in July with the launch of the Free Mint, which introduced the Amulets and Talismans NFTs, the first phase of the Voodoo collection. These NFTs granted holders the exclusivity of becoming original (OG) members of the collection, benefiting them with a unique experience and a share in the royalties from the collection’s transactions.

OG NFT holders enjoy privileged positions in our Discord server, in addition to having access to exclusive project activities.

The community played an active role in a Realm Decision, where they decided on the distribution of royalties from the Amulets and Talismans collection. The choice was to distribute whenever the accumulated value per wallet reached the equivalent of 100 ADAs, reflecting the project’s commitment to participatory governance — no distribution has been made yet.

Blockchain RIO

Our first public exhibition took place in September at Blockchain Rio, a prestigious event in Brazil, which featured participation from the Cardano Foundation.

The presence of The Dolls at this event not only provided excellent exposure for the brand and the collectibles but also served as an opportunity to discuss trends and the future of NFTs and collectibles.

The positive feedback we received from event participants about the Capsule and the Proof of Engagement Protocol was truly inspiring and reaffirmed our chosen path.

Omniverse Edition of the Voodoo Collection

Faced with unfavorable market conditions for liquidity at the beginning of September, we consulted with our community about the launch of the main collection.

The prevailing opinion was that we should wait for a more opportune moment for this launch. If we decided to proceed with the launch in 2023, we would need to revise the supply quantity and undertake significant marketing efforts for community expansion and impactful marketing actions.

This led us to the decision to postpone the launch of the main collection to 2024.

We delayed the main collection, but moved forward the Omniverse edition of the Voodoo collection to the second phase of the project, which was initially planned for a later stage of the main collection. This decision allowed us to maintain the project’s momentum and focus on the continuity of the planned deliveries.

To grow our follower base and further engage the community, we implemented marketing strategies that included giveaways and quests in partnership with the Zealy platform. These initiatives not only rewarded the community with NFTs from other collections but also contributed to spreading the brand of The Dolls.

We gifted the community with NFTs from Cardano Warriors and Clay Nation x Good Charlotte.

Additionally, to support the community, we created a Landing Page featuring new content about the project, which will be launched soon.

Finally, the last month (October) was crucial for the development of the Capsule and the POE (Proof of Engagement Protocol). We managed to structure a team of developers (backend and frontend) and are currently working on the minimum viable prototype, with plans to start beta testing still in 2023.

This stage represents a significant advancement in our roadmap and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-value platforms for the community and to facilitate the migration of people to web3.

A Journey of Obstacles

In this dynamic and ever-evolving world of NFTs, facing challenges is not just a possibility; it’s a certainty. However, it is precisely in these challenges that we find the most significant opportunities for innovation, growth, and learning. Developing an NFT project, especially one as ambitious and creative as The Dolls, is not a journey free from obstacles. But, each obstacle overcome not only strengthens our project but also unites us as a community and team.

Building a community around an NFT project is as challenging as it is rewarding. One of the biggest challenges is creating a genuine and meaningful connection with community members, and establishing this authentic bond requires effort, creativity, and constant communication.

And that’s what we’re gradually striving for, step by step: to keep our members engaged and interested.

Even in times of low interaction, we do not get disheartened. On the contrary, we view these periods as critical opportunities to refine our vision, adjust our plans, and strengthen our foundations. This should pave a bright future for The Dolls.

We remain steadfast in our mission to build and enhance The Dolls, driven by our belief in the potential of this project. And with the ongoing collaboration of our team and our engaged community, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
